Based on your description, it seems that you have mixed feelings about your current job. On one hand, you appreciate the good company environment and your boss's personality. However, you are not satisfied with the low salary and the fact that your current role as a PA involves a variety of tasks that may not align with your video editing skills. Additionally, hearing from your former colleagues that the boss didn't give out a satisfactory Chinese New Year bonus can also be seen as a negative factor. When deciding whether to change jobs, it is important to consider several aspects. Firstly, evaluate your career goals and aspirations. If your main focus is on developing your video editing skills and finding a role that better utilizes your diploma in that field, it might be worth exploring other opportunities that align with your interests and offer better salary prospects.Secondly, assess the potential for growth and advancement in your current company. Being promoted to a role as a boss's PA may provide valuable exposure to different aspects of the business, but if it doesn't align with your long-term goals or if there is limited room for upward mobility, it might not be the best fit for your career development.Lastly, the financial aspect is important. While job satisfaction and a good work environment are valuable, it is essential to consider fair compensation for your skills and experience. If you feel that your current salary is not reflective of your worth or market standards, it may be worth exploring other opportunities that offer better remuneration.Considering all these factors, it might be helpful to have a conversation with your boss about your career aspirations, your concerns about the salary, and your desire to focus more on video editing. This open communication can provide insights into potential opportunities within the company or set the stage for exploring job prospects outside if necessary.Ultimately, the decision to switch jobs is a personal one, and you should prioritize your career growth and financial well-being. Gathering all the necessary information, considering your options, and thinking long-term about your goals will guide you towards making the right decision in this situation.
