It is understandable that you and your senior colleagues feel unfairly treated given the discrepancy in salaries between new graduates and experienced employees. However, before making any rash decisions like quitting or job-hopping, it is important to consider the full picture. Firstly, try to understand why the company has decided to set a basic pay of RM4000 for new graduates. Perhaps they are facing financial challenges or need to be more competitive in the market. Secondly, have an open and honest conversation with your boss or HR department to express your concerns and ask for clarification on the company's policies. It may be possible to negotiate a higher salary or additional benefits based on your experience and contributions. Finally, consider your long-term career goals and whether staying in the company aligns with them. If you are not satisfied with the opportunities for growth and development, then exploring other options may be necessary. However, remember that changing jobs frequently can also have negative consequences on your career trajectory. It is important to carefully weigh the pros and cons before making any decisions.
