It sounds like you are experiencing a difficult situation with your manager in your new job. Comparing you to a previous employee and constantly criticizing your work can be demoralizing and affect your job performance. It's important to address this issue in a professional manner before making any decisions about leaving the job. Here are a few steps you can take: 1. Schedule a meeting with your manager: Request a meeting to discuss your concerns and the challenges you are facing. Express how the constant comparison and criticism are affecting your morale and job performance. 2. Seek clarification on expectations: Ask your manager for clear expectations regarding the workload. By understanding what is realistically expected of you, you can better manage your time and prioritize tasks. 3. Communicate about your workload: If you believe the workload is unmanageable within the given time frame, discuss this with your manager. Offer suggestions for potential solutions, such as prioritizing tasks or reallocating resources. 4. Document your efforts: Keep track of your accomplishments, completed tasks, and any communication with your manager regarding workload or performance. This documentation can serve as evidence of your hard work if needed in the future. 5. Explore support resources: Reach out to your HR department or supervisor to seek guidance and support in dealing with this situation. Leaving a job during the probationary period can impact your resume, but if you have exhausted all options to improve the situation and it continues to negatively impact your well-being, career, and growth, it may be necessary to consider finding a healthier work environment. Remember that your mental health and job satisfaction are important factors in your overall career success. It's always best to make informed decisions after attempting to address the issue and exploring your options. Good luck!
