As an HR expert, I understand your frustration and concern regarding the invasion of your privacy by your supervisor. It is indeed unethical for your supervisor to access your computer and read your private conversations on WhatsApp without your consent. Respecting employees' privacy is crucial in maintaining a healthy work environment. In this situation, I would suggest addressing the issue directly with your supervisor or escalating the matter to the appropriate authority in your company, such as a higher-level manager or the HR department. It is important to express your concerns and let them know how this invasion of privacy has affected you. However, whether or not to resign ultimately depends on your personal circumstances and the overall work environment. If you enjoy your job and feel that this incident can be resolved through open communication and appropriate actions, it might be worth staying and trying to find a solution. On the other hand, if you feel that this breach of privacy is indicative of a toxic work culture or a lack of respect for employees, you may consider seeking new opportunities elsewhere.Remember, it is always advisable to have a new job offer in hand before resigning from your current position. This ensures a smooth transition and helps secure your financial stability. Additionally, if you decide to look for a new job, you can remain cautious about maintaining the confidentiality of your job search until you are ready to announce it officially.I hope this response helps you navigate your situation, and I wish you the best of luck in finding a resolution that aligns with your values and career goals.
