Need advice

It can be a difficult situation when you have already verbally accepted an offer but later decide that you do not want to continue with the company. It is important to handle it professionally to minimize any negative impact on your future job prospects. Firstly, it is advisable to have a conversation with your leader or supervisor to explain your reasons for not wanting to continue with the company. You can mention that the workload has been overwhelming as an intern, and it has affected your interest and motivation in the current role. Emphasize that this decision is not taken lightly and that you have carefully thought about it.You should express your understanding that this may be disappointing for the company and apologize for any inconvenience caused. It is essential to highlight that you value professionalism and want to maintain a good relationship with the company despite your decision. As for the offer letter not being provided for three months, you can calmly mention that the delay in receiving the offer letter has contributed to your change of heart. This can be a valid reason as it is normal for individuals to reassess their career plans when faced with uncertainty.Lastly, it is advisable to ask if there are any alternative arrangements to completing your internship, such as wrapping up the remaining tasks within the two-week notice period. This demonstrates your willingness to fulfill your responsibilities and leave on good terms.Remember, even if your leader expresses disappointment or frustration, it is important to remain professional and respectful throughout the conversation. By handling the situation with maturity and grace, you can minimize any potential negative impact on your future job search.
