I am a civil engineer fresh graduate with good results. Due to covid 19 hitting the construction sector very hard, a lot of large companies are halting their recruitment. I managed to secure a position in a large local company with a salary of 3k. I have been working there for 2 months but there is no guidance from seniors, no workload and no career growth. I am also able to leave on time every day. I have signed a one year contract with the company. I am wondering if I should leave the company for good to seek companies that have better career development and growth for my future. I am afraid that the longer a stay at my current company the more comfortable and complacent I will be, resulting in difficulties when switching companies due to lack of experience in this company. My current worry is, I only just started my first job and if I quit just months after I start, will it affect my resume or leave a bad impression on recruiters out there? Second, my current company is very near to my home (5min), should I apply for other companies that may need a 20 min drive? (assuming same salary, the industry pay is more or less the same everywhere) I understand that during the early years of one's career, we must prioritize learning more than anything to accumulate experiences. May I hear your precious suggestions from you guys? I am very grateful to you to take your time helping a loss young adult that just took his first step into the society
