Contract employee resign before contract expires

If the staff signed a contract until 2024 but suddenly yesterday he gave a 24 hours resignation letter, what are we supposed to do?

Calculate the payment in lieu of notice and request from him. That’s all.

Contract is not bonding, they can resign if they want.
