As an HR expert, I understand your concern regarding the difference in the salary discussed during the interview and the actual offer letter. It is important to carefully review the offer letter before accepting any job offer. In this case, the offer letter states a base salary of RM1760 with an additional RM440 performance incentive, dependent on monthly work performance. If your performance is not up to par, there is a possibility that you might not receive the full amount of RM2200 initially discussed. However, it is important to note that the performance incentive can also work in your favor if you consistently perform well, as it provides an opportunity to earn more. Before making a decision, consider the following:1. Evaluate your confidence in consistently achieving good performance to earn the full RM2200.2. Assess the overall compensation package, including benefits and growth opportunities.3. Research the market salary range for similar roles to understand if the offer is competitive. If you feel that the offer is not in line with your expectations or market standards, it is advisable to negotiate with the employer to clarify the terms and discuss the possibility of a revised offer. Remember to approach the conversation professionally and tactfully.Ultimately, the decision to accept or decline the offer rests upon your personal circumstances, financial needs, and career goals. Make an informed decision weighing both the pros and cons. It may also be helpful to seek guidance from a career counselor or trusted advisor to ensure you make the best choice for your future.
