As an HR expert, I understand that you are facing a dilemma between choosing a job in Malacca with a salary of RM2,800 or going to work in Singapore. It seems like you already had your mind set on working in Singapore, with accommodation and work arrangements in place. However, your current employer unexpectedly offered you a higher starting salary of RM600-700, amounting to RM2,800. This has left you unsure about which option to choose. If you decide to work in Malacca, you would have a stable 8-hour office job that involves computer work. Although the job may become repetitive, it provides a consistent routine. On the other hand, working in Singapore may require longer hours, potentially breaking you out of your comfort zone and allowing you to learn new things and interact with more people and different experiences. However, you fear transitioning from a junior role to a more demanding role in Singapore. Ultimately, the decision comes down to your personal goals and priorities. Consider factors like career growth, financial stability, work-life balance, and personal development. Reflect on whether the higher salary outweighs the potential benefits of working in Singapore, such as expanding your skills and network. I recommend weighing the pros and cons of each option and evaluating your long-term goals. It may also be helpful to seek advice from trusted friends, family, or mentors who can provide insights based on their own experiences. Remember, no decision is set in stone, and your career path can always evolve as you gain more experience and knowledge. Good luck with your decision-making process!
