I understand that discovering discrepancies between the agreed-upon offer and the actual salary on your first day can be frustrating. It's even more concerning to learn that the company is facing severe financial issues, resulting in some employees being asked to take unpaid leave. In this situation, it is important to evaluate your options carefully. Considering the withdrawal of the promised bonus and the financial instability of the company, it may be reasonable to explore other job opportunities. However, each individual's decision will depend on their personal circumstances and priorities. If you choose to leave the company, serving the notice period typically depends on the specific terms outlined in your contract or offer letter. Some organizations may require you to serve a notice period, regardless of how short your employment has been. Reviewing your employment agreement and discussing the situation with the HR department can provide clarity on the requirements. It is advisable to consider potential alternatives before making a decision, such as discussing the issues with the HR department or seeking clarification on the salary variance. Resolving these concerns or obtaining a satisfactory explanation might influence your decision to stay or leave the company. Ultimately, it is important to choose an employment situation that aligns with your expectations and provides stability for your career growth.
